A link to an excel spreadsheet is shown below. It is a good resource for tracking personal finances. It is a form of a balance sheet that is helpful in tracking and managing if your net worth is increasing or decreasing. It will easily show the financial position or condition of your assets, liabilities, and ownership equity from month to month.
Examples are provided for possible listings you may want to keep track of. Feel free to make any changes or additions to the personal finance spreadsheet, to make it personal to you.
The tabs at the bottom of the file are categorized by month, for 1 year. Each tab is identical except for the date at the top. On, or very near to, the 1st of the month, the balances of all financial standings should be recorded. Already included in the spreadsheet are different examples of accounts you may have.
To record your information in the personal finance spreadsheet, simply replace any "X" with the corresponding information. Do not change the "0"'s because they are formulas that are already programed into the file. When the "X"'s are changed the formulas will automatically calculate the equation.
